Hell at EMP!
It was a welcome sight to see Hell back where they belong when ‘Human Remains’ was released in 2011. Hell were considered by many to be a little ahead of their time, being one of the first few bands to wear corpse paint, not to mention their absolutely bonkers stage gags, including a hysterically ranting Gargoyle and an exploding bible! The band achieved cult status, however two weeks prior to the recording of their debut album, the label collapsed into bankruptcy. Hell split up soon afterwards, which led to the tragic suicide of singer/guitarist Dave Halliday .
The band were then resurrected by famed heavy metal producer Andy Sneap. The album’ Human Remains’ contains re-recorded versions of songs originally performed by the band during the 80’s with a few updates. The album was pieced together over a 3-year period and fully funded by Andy Sneap . The album quickly caught the attention of many record labels, with the band finally signing to Nuclear Blast Records.
Now very much back on the scene and just as manic as ever, the band have recorded a new album entitled Curse and Chapter
Due for release on 22.11.13 this highly awaited second album is currently available from EMP in three Different formats!
