If you’ve ever dreamed about being a Disney Princess then this blog is for you! I’ve selected my top 10 favourite items from EMP’s wide range of Disney Princess merchandise. If you see something on this list you like then click on the picture and it will take you the item on the EMP website. No matter what age you are, you can never have enough Disney Princess merch!
Starting off this list is a piece of jewellery that even Elsa would be jealous of. This Elsa Ice Crystal necklace from Couture Kingdom is plated with white gold and comes with an adjustable chain. It’s so beautiful and will definitely catch the attention of your peers.
I don’t know about you guys but I own a lot of scrunchies. They’re useful and super cute and this set of Snow White scrunchies are no exception. If you love Snow White then check out my previous blog where I take you through a step by step tutorial on how to achieve Snow White’s iconic makeup look.
I always loved how beautiful Cinderella’s carriage was and wished I had one of my own. Although this Funko Pop Carriage is a lot smaller than what I wished for, I still absolutely love it. This set comes with the carriage and two horses, all with incredible detail. Great for both children and adults.
With the weather being so hot at the moment, a swimsuit is an important part of your wardrobe, even if you are just sitting in a paddling pool in the garden. I absolutely love the deep red colour of this Beauty and the Beast inspired swimsuit and the rose detailing around the top and back is beautiful.
I know I’m not the only one who wishes they had hair like Ariel’s from The Little Mermaid. This deep conditioning hair mask is all you need to get beautiful flowing locks like Ariel. Apply to towel-dried hair, leave it for around 5 minutes, rinse it off and then you’re done.
If you’ve ever wanted to own a magic lamp, then this is the item for you. This tea set comes with the magic lamp pot and two glasses, each detailed with images of Jasmin and Aladdin. It’s the perfect addition to any Disney Princess themed tea party.
This jean jacket is perfect for the Disney Princess lovers who have a rock chic style. This piece comes covered in detail, from the beading on the shoulder area to the print on the back and arm. It’s definitely one of my favourites on this list.
If you’re starting to arrange more social distanced gatherings with your friends, why not try out these face masks. Everyone can become a different Disney Princess and they leave your skin feeling super soft.
Last on the list is this beautiful Tiana prom dress. This dress is one of the six in the Disney Princess prom dress range at EMP. There are also dresses in the style of Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, Aurora and Belle. I chose Tiana’s one to be in my top 10 as I love it’s soft green colour and the stunning silver waterlilies at the hem.
If you didn’t see something you liked in this top 10 list then check out the wide range of other Disney Princess merch from EMP here.
With us all being stuck in isolation at the minute, a lot of us are struggling to find activities to do to fill the time. However, have you ever thought about turning yourself into a Disney Princess? Well, I certainly have so I decided to take you guys through how I transformed myself into Snow White using makeup. This step by step guide will show you how to achieve the look shown above, including the products and techniques I used.
*DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional make up artist, I just enjoy experimenting with makeup and have been practising for a few years. All these steps can be adjusted to suit you however you like. Makeup has no rules so just have fun! :)*
Step 1: Before you start, make sure your skin is cleansed and moisturised. I’m currently using the Simple Kind to Skin Day Cream. Next, I use my Benefit The POREfessional Pearl Primer and massage it in using my fingertips.
Step 2: After that, I use my L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24HR Freshwear Foundation (mine’s in the shade Porcelain) with my real techniques brush (I’ve searched the whole internet but I can’t find the name of this brush if anyone knows please leave it in the comments). I use one pump on the back of my hand, dip my brush in and blend the product into my skin using circular motions. Remember to blend it under the chin as well.
Step 3: To ensure the foundation is blended into the skin nicely, I gently pat my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge around the face.
Step 4: Next, I use my Makeup Revolution Conceal And Define Concealer (mine’s in the shade C0.5) and place it under the eyes, on my forehead, on my chin and on the tip of my nose to brighten those areas and around the bottom of my nose to reduce the redness there. I blend that in using one of these really cute Real Techniques Mini Miracle Complexion Sponges.
Step 5: This bit may seem a bit weird at first and I know I look crazy but just trust me. I took the concealer and placed it on top of my eyebrows and blended it in using the Miracle Complexion Sponge.
Step 6: Time to set it all in place. I’m using the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in shade 003 Peach Glow with a large fluffy powder brush, this one is from Avon. Instead of sweeping the brush over the skin, I gently press the brush into my face. This technique will not move the foundation and concealer and will leave a flawless matte finish. I also make sure to go over the eyebrows as well.
Step 7: Snow White has quite a strong pink blush so to mimic this, I use the Makeup Revolution Blusher Reloader in the shade Pink Lady. As you can see, I dropped mine and it broke which I’m really gutted about but it still works fine. I took this on a smaller fluffy brush from Avon and swept it in circular motions starting from the apple of my cheek and then moving it along my cheekbone. Don’t be afraid to use a lot of this product if you’re looking to accurately mimic Snow White’s look. You may think you look like a clown at first but it will all come together in the end. I actually decided to put some more blush on later in the tutorial as I didn’t put enough on in the step.
Step 8: Next I used a white eye pencil (this one is from Rimmel London) and ran it through my eyebrows. I then set it again using the Stay Matte Powder and the Mini Miracle Complexion Sponge. This technique is to ensure that my natural eyebrows are as covered as they can be for the next step.
Step 9: Eyebrows! Now, this is definitely not how I would do my eyebrows normally but this is a really good way to get those thin curved eyebrows that Snow White has. Start by drawing three dots near the top of your natural eyebrow, one where you would like the eyebrow to start, the second where you would like the curve to be and the last where you would like the tail to end. To do this I’m using the Morphe Micro Brow Pencil in the shade Mocha. Connect the dots by drawing a thin line using your pencil.
Step 10: I cleaned up any mistakes by taking a bit of the Conceal And Define Concealer on the back of my hand and using a Real Techniques Detailer Brush to dip in the concealer and slowly run over the top of the brow.
Step 11: Now onto eyes! I start by taking natural in the Morphe 15D Day Slayer Palette as a transition colour to go in the crease of the eyelid. I apply this using a soft back and forth motion with my BH Cosmetics 101 Blending Brush. As Snow White has rounded eyes, I ensure not to brush the colour out any further than where my eye ends and to focus it mainly in the centre of the crease. This will give the illusion of a more rounded eye.
Step 12: Next, I’m taking my Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless Fire Palette and dipping a smaller blending brush into the colour Volcanic. I then sweep this colour back and forth on the lid. Then, I take the colour Burn on the same brush and focus that colour on the outer third of the eye, ensuring I blend the colours toward the centre of the eyelid to enhance that rounded shape.
Step 13: Taking the BH cosmetics 105 Pencil Brush and the shade Burn, I blend the colour in the centre under my eye.
Step 14: If you are uncomfortable with applying eyeliner to your waterline then you can skip this step. Start by using your index finger to gently pull down on the skin just below your eye. Take a sharpened, clean brown eye pencil (This is the LA Girl Eyeliner In the shade Medium Brown) and run it calmly along the waterline. P.S. I apologise for how strange I look in these pictures
Step 15: Next, I line the upper lash line using my Morphe Gel Liner in the shade Jet. I personally prefer using gel eyeliners for this step but if you prefer liquid or felt tip, then that’s absolutely fine. I take a bit on my Real Techniques Definer Brush and apply it by looking down in my mirror. I’ve made the liner in the centre of the lash line a little bit thicker than on the edges to compliment the rounded eye shape we’re trying to achieve.
Step 16: Then, I’m using my favourite mascara the Benefit Bad Gal Bang on my upper eyelashes. Don’t apply any mascara to the bottom lashes. If you don’t want to wear false eyelashes then you can leave the eye makeup here and move onto step 18.
Step 17: For false eyelashes, I chose the House Of Lashes Etheral Mini set. These natural-looking eyelashes are perfect for this pretty princess look. I use these with my Duo 2 in 1 Brush On Striplash Adhesive. Before you apply, ensure the eyelashes are trimmed to fit your eye size. Always trim from the outer corner of the lash. Then, hold your lashes with a pair of tweezers and run a layer of lash glue along the strip of the lash. Wait 30 seconds for the glue to dry up a bit and go tacky (you can shake the lash or blow on the glue if you are impatient like me). Look down into your mirror and gently place the lash as close to the lash line as you can. Make sure you push the inner and outer corners into place. Repeat on the other eye.
Step 18: Now for one of the most important steps in any Snow White look, the red lip! Firstly, I take the Maybelline Colour Sensational lip liner in Brick Red and line my lips in a similar shape to Snow White’s. I then use the lipliner to fill in the rest of the lip. I then take the Makeup Revolution Creme Lip in the shade Destiny 133 and run it over the top of the lip liner. Taking a tissue, I blot the lips to ensure I don’t get lipstick on my teeth. To finish the look, I take my Soap And Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Pillow Plump XXL Lip Gloss over the top of the red lip.
Grab a wig and a dress and there you go! You’ve transformed into Snow White 🙂
Complete your look and with this and more Disney & Snow White merch! Check it out here.
Today’s blog is a special one because it’s covering our lovely influencer Chelsea O’Brien’s (aka: @MummaBabyDoll ) pregnancy journey and what she wore to stay both comfortable and on brand with her awesome image! Without further ado, lets kick off Chelsea’s blog post!
It’s late o’clock in the day and I’ve just finished up my daily routine of streaming to my nearly 40k followers on Twitch. For the past few years my job has been sitting at a desk making my way up into the Entertainment business, however today I got news that the next 9 months are going to be completely different. My apartment is going to be accident proofed, my mood swings are going to be crazy but more worryingly, my wardrobe is going to change. All the new clothes from EMP that I only just received for Christmas are no longer going to fit because today I found out…
I’m finally pregnant.
I’m finally showing – my wardrobe needs an emergency makeover. I turn on my computer and Google: emp.co.uk and do a quick search for ‘Maternity Fashion’. I’ve been a loyal customer of EMP for 4 years now, even wearing their clothes in my first magazine feature.
As expected, a variety of fashionable maternity clothes stare back at me with all their unique ‘growing room’ abilities. Pregnancy can be difficult for a lot of women due to the changes it makes to your body. Many of my friends that have had children expressed that they needed to keep buying new clothes over and over again because “Maternity Clothes are uncomfortable and easy to grow out of.”
I’ve never had a problem with uncomfortable clothes from EMP, which is why I am here now looking at their website for the clothes that I would be wearing for the next 6 months. I pick out my first three tops:
“Cool” Mom is an understatement – I’m also “Comfy” Mom and “Why would anyone go anywhere else for their Maternity Clothes” Mom. I didn’t need to worry about comfort or size with these tops, they fit and feel perfect.
My close friend just found out that she’s pregnant too – I know exactly what I’m getting her for her birthday.
It’s time for our ‘Gender Reveal’ party. I’ve just received a package in the post that has my party attire folded neatly away inside. I can’t wait to see the reactions of my friends and family when they find out what I’m having.
I appear downstairs wearing my Which Gender? Boy or Girl? T-shirt . I’m proud to show off my top as everyone keeps complimenting me about my fashion. “Comfort and looks good?!” one of my friends exclaimed. They can’t believe the quality in just a single item of clothing – wait until they see my wardrobe…
It’s the spookiest night of the year! I’m pairing up with my little girl, Rhivér for our joint Halloween costume. Using my Baby On Board long-sleeve shirt , partnered with some spooky face paint, we quickly become the highlight of the party.
It’s almost time. I look to my side and see my ‘Hospital Bag’ all packed and ready to go with all the essentials, including our little girl’s first outfit. My emotions are all over the place but I’m mostly filled with excitement. Excited to get back to my normal size (mainly so I can explore all the new outfits that EMP have released this year), excited to be able to touch my toes for the first time in months but of course, I’m mostly excited to come home with another member of my growing family.
EMP’s Maternity clothinghas made such a positive impact in my life this year, making this pregnancy 10x more comfortable for me. The worry of having a new wardrobe was blown out of existence as soon as I received my first 2 tops. By this point, I own over 70% of EMP’s Maternity and baby/kids merchandise.
Even my ‘Going Home’ clothes include a Bambi jumper and Varsity jacket to match my daughters first outfit. We’re going to make a great looking pair as we take our first steps out into the World together.
Finding Xmas presents for your friends and loved ones can be a pain sometimes and the risk of getting stressed out and gradually turning into The Grinch is pretty high! And that would suck as you’d be killing the Christmas spirit… kind of defeating the whole purpose of getting gifts in the first place right?!? It should be a pleasure and a way to show your dear ones that you care and thought about them – not a dreadful task you can’t wait to get done with.
Luckily if you’re looking for the perfect gift for a TV series and movie lover, the hunt for it could be easier than you think (and quite fun thanks to the variety of fan merch that exists out there…)
I’ve picked a selection of my favourite items from some of the cult TV programs and big screen classics and must sees!
Let’s start with gift ideas for a TV series addict:
The trailer for Stranger ThingsS3 went live a few days ago and we know that “in the summer of 1985, the adventure continues” – but here we literally can’t wait for summer 2019 to see what’s happening next to Eleven and the rest of the Hawkins’ gang.
This Xmas you can ease the pain of the wait for a Stranger Things fan by gifting them one of the following items/must haves:
The Walking Dead is one of those TV series that you either LOVE or HATE and don’t want to invest time on.
I am personally fully addicted to it and I’ve been faithful to the show despite the ups and downs of some episodes/seasons and the fact that they keep killing all my favourite characters 🙁 (even if they’re alive and well in the comics – RIP Carl).
If you know someone who’s as passionate about this show as me these items are going to make a killer present:
Supernatural is a GREAT show. No wonder it’s still going after 14 seasons (yeah FOURTEEN – not a typo instead of a 4 or a 10). The recipe of the show includes all you need for it to be a success: humour, drama, intensity, passion, suspense and just to make everything even better it has 2 extremely handsome main characters (raise your hand if you have a crush on Dean Winchester <3)… Supernatural just has it all!
So if you’re looking for a gift for a fan of the Winchester brothers’ adventures you’re in the right place:
Possibly one of the funniest TV series EVER, FRIENDS is an absolute evergreen – and thanks to Netflix and the 90s nostalgia there’s now a huge hype around it, giving us the chance to put our hands on some great merch!
Show your friends that you’re always there for them with one of these awesome presents:
So, winter is here… but ironically we have to wait until April 2019 for the final season of GOT! Whether your friend is rooting for house Stark, Targaryen, Lannister or Tyrell (or the Night King… why not?) to be sitting on the Iron Throne at the end of everything, we’re sure you’ll find the perfect gift for them here. Just a little something to help them get through winter and keep the hype up until the long awaited S9XE01 airs:
Rick and Morty is without a doubt one of the most disturbing and yet brilliant TV series out there – big fan! Extremely clever in its borderline nonsense, Rick and Morty gives space and freedom to a huge selection of crazy and outrageous merchandise.
If your friend or loved one has picked up lots of random catch phrases like “it’s time to get schwifty” or “wubba lubba dub dub” or “Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, biatch!” or they keep screaming “Pickle RIIIIIIICK” – then you have no choice but to get them a Rick and Morty Xmas gift, whether it makes sense to you or not:
Do I even have to sell it to you? Deadpool is simply brilliant and any fan of the movies/comics surely has a great sense of humour… so why don’t you spice things up a bit and go for a fun gift like one of these? Ryan Reynolds would approve:
Jason Momoa as Aquaman was surely an interesting casting decision, “slightly” differing from the comic character, but it surely paid off! Surprisingly I don’t see Khal Drogo while looking at Momoa’s great performance and James Wan did an incredible job. It’s been interesting to see him directing something different and stepping away from horror movies for the first time in a while.
A fan on the Aquaman comics and movie (or actor :P) is going to love any of these:
I’m a BIG Star Warsgeek and I love everything Darth Vader – so getting a Xmas present for me is really not that hard (just in case my Secret Santa is reading LOL). We have a HUGE selection of merch that is going to make any fan of the saga happy – whether they’d join the Dark Side or stick with the Jedi.
From adorable (but slightly annoying) Porgs, to all your favourite droids and more:
Three circles. That’s all it took to start possibly the biggest movement in entertainment history. Adding magic to all of our childhoods and giving the ability to escape to worlds we wish were real in adulthood. That’s right – it’s Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday! An incredible 90 years later and he’s still the most famous mouse in show business.
Where it started
The Mickey Mouse journey started in 1928 when Walt Disney asked animator Ub Iwerks to help him create his first very own character (characters he had created before belonged to Universal). Iwerks created cats, dogs, a cow, a horse and a frog but they were not quite right. Disney decided he wanted a mouse called Mortimer and Iwerks created the simple, three circle design. Walt Disney’s wife convinced him to change the name to Mickey (thank goodness) and that’s when the iconic mouse was born.
Mickey made his debut in the short film Steamboat Willie (grab the Steamboat Willing Funko Pop! here) with Walt Disney as the voice actor who voiced Mickey and Minnie until 1946. It features Mickey sailing a steamboat until Captain Pete takes over. They stop to pick up cargo and Minnie misses the ship. But of course, her hero Mickey picks her up with a crane and puts her on the ship. In the middle of all this excitement, she drops her sheet of music and a goat eats it (don’t you hate it when that happens!?). She yanks the goats tail and it plays the tune. Mickey joins in on percussion and by using various other animals, they create a little band. This scene was actually later removed due to concerns of animal cruelty. Captain Pete then breaks up the party and gets Mickey peeling potatoes. The interesting thing about this film is that although its the first Disney movie with sound, there is no dialog. Give it a watch below.
With hundreds of films being released from then till now, my all time favourite is Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas. If you haven’t seen it, you HAVE to watch it this Christmas. It’s about three toys under a tree and each has a story. One story is about Donald Duck‘s nephews wishing it was Christmas everyday and when their wish comes true, they start to regret their greediness. Another is about Goofy trying too hard to prove to his adolescent son that Santa is in fact real. And the final story is about Mickey and Minniesacrificing their most prized possessions for each others happiness. That’s the thing about Disney – it’s never just a story. There’s always a lesson to be learned (and a sexual innuendo to spot but those are stories for another blog post).
Mickey didn’t wear his iconic white gloves until the 1929 film The Opry House. Gradually over the years the character evolved into what we know today. He had his ears reshaped until it was decided to keep them circular no matter what way he turned. He was only given three fingers and a thumb because of financial reasons: not having that extra finger in each of the 45,000 drawings of each short film has saved the studio millions over the years.
Mickey Inspired Art
All of the alterations and quirks has given us our legend that not only inspired us as children, but has had an incredibly powerful influence on the art world: he’s been a popular subject over the decades with artists including Andy Warhol and Damien Hirst. Mickey gives artwork a sense of familiarity and establishes an instant connection to the viewer. Feast your eyes on some of the most famous Mickey inspired creations:
Andy Warhol (1928 – 1987) Quadrant Mickey Mouse
Damien Hirst – Mickey, 2012
Banksy – Napalm (2004-5)
Ben Allen – Popaganda Mickey
Marilyn Manson – The Golden Age of Grotesque – Helnwein
Roy Lichtenstein – Look Mickey – 1961
When looking back at the influence this event in 1928 has had, we decided to have a look at some other things that happened in 1928 that have had an impact on our lives:
Alexander Fleming discovers Penicillin.
Amelia Earhart was the first woman to fly the Atlantic as a passenger.
John Logie Baird demonstrates the first colour television transmission in London.
Paul Whiteman and his orchestra record “Ol’ Man River” featuring Bing Crosby.
The 9th Olympics was held in Amsterdam.
Clip-on tie was designed (very important event).
And the most important one… sliced bread was sold for the first time by the Chillicothe Baking Company, Missouri (has there really ever been anything better since sliced bread?)
Anyway, back to 2018… in an era of constantly changing trends and tastes, it’s quite remarkable that Mickey Mouse is still influencing our society as if he were designed last month; let alone 90 years ago. And of course since then, Disney has given us hundreds more characters to enjoy and we can’t wait to see what is created in the next 90 years.
Thank you Walt Disney for creating something so original and extraordinarily timeless.
Cats or dogs? Following your dream studying music or actually make money? Rewatch Harry PotterDeathly Hollows part 2 or just not cry tonight? Life is full of difficult choices, and us at EMP spend a decent amount of time going on caffeine induced rants arguing why zombie apocalypses are easier to survive than alien invasions and eventually after realizing we are getting nowhere, we turn to you the fans in all your supreme wisdom to finally clear things up!
After another discussion ending with coffee mugs flying across the room yelling “WITH A LIGHTSABER YOU WOULD CUT OFF YOUR OWN LIMBS” We “collectively” decided to stop arguing fictional questions and head to MCM Comic-Con to meet fans so we could properly discuss “Would you rather”! (the game, not the 2012 horror-movie that Americans are using to torture war criminals in Guantanamo Bay)
Would you rather be a werewolf or a vampire?
Without much surprise vampire came out on top with an insane 85% of the votes in our online-poll! Cause who doesn’t want to be a sparkling, night-dweller on a diet with as much variation as the last 3 Fast and Furious movies. However, a part of me should feel worried cause compared to werewolves that could in theory get tied down or head deep into the Siberian wilderness every full moon a vampire HAS to kill to stay alive. I’m not judging I’m just pointing out the fact most of you would be okay with being serial killers.
Would you rather go on a blind date with Gaston or Prince Hans?
Gaston won with 75% and you are all wrong. Prince Hans is rich. End of story. MONEY!
Would you rather have a real working lightsaber or a wand?
64% chose wand, which I agree with. If anyone has tried sword fighting they would know it’s hard, exhausting and you get hit a lot. One misstep and you end up chopping off your limbs. It’s the reason in the Jedi universe, building your lightsaber is the final exam before you are officially a Jedi. A wand has a lot of “fail-safes” for example, the unforgiveable curses cannot be cast without the caster REALLY wanting to: and I’m not talking how I kind of want some fries right now; I’m talking “I cannot see myself happy unless I torture this person.” Which begs the question what does “Mad-eye” have against spiders after demonstrating all 3 on one in “Goblet of Fire” …?
Who would you rather have as your boss, Dolores Umbridge or King Joffrey?
71% selected Umbridge and boy I really don’t want to be you guys! The common argument is that Joffrey is a sadist and more of a bully; he is a kid burning ants; he is a teenager that has yet to develop empathy so there is a chance (however small) that he would improve with age. “Yeah but he did sentence people to die!” Well Umbridge sentenced Muggle-Borns to the Dementor’s kiss, a fate that in the Harry Potter universe is WORSE than death. Neither of them would be ideal for middle or upper management but if I had to choose probably Joffrey. Keep your head down and learn to dodge crossbow bolts and you’ll be fine!
Would you rather live without music or without TV?
74% of you said you’d want to live without TV, which I agree with! There is something magical about music, the emotions the instrument, the lyrics! It’s truly a beautiful medium. TV shows are just storytelling. Instead of watching Game of Thrones you could still read and enjoy the books and get the same story there! Even though while Game of Thrones gets new episodes every year, the next book “Winds of Winter” is probably not going to be released before we are facing the heat-death of the universe.
Would you rather go to space or middle-earth?
71% to middle earth! And who can blame them? Second breakfast, elves, more food, magic, cursed rings, Uruk-hai wanting to murder you, Balrogs. Truly a peaceful and wonderful place! Well at the end of the day I have to agree, at least in the middle-earth you get SOMETHING. Compared to space where there is a pretty big chance you float out and find nothing for 100 years praying you become a Xenomorph meal. Only advantage I found is that you can speed up time much easier in space so maybe if you spend enough time out there, “Winds of Winter” will be released when you return to earth in 2851.
Would you rather talk like Hodor or Groot?
Insanely 89% said Groot! I personally expected more variation! Main argument was “people understand Groot”… they DON’T! It’s stated that Rocket understands the WAY Groot says “I am groot” making it easier to guess what he wants after spending so much time with him! But hey if you’re okay with sounding like tree-Chewbacca, I’m not gonna stop you.
Would you rather teleport but only into occupied toilets or be super rich but have all your money in 2 pence coins?
This surprised me – 86% said they wanted the two pence coins. You know how math ruins all that’s fun in life? Well sit tight cause I’m here to explain why there is no way in this universe or the next that would be convenient in any aspect of the word. A 2 pence coin weigh 7.12 gram. You need 50 of them to get a pound so one pound would weigh 356 grams. Multiply by 10 and you have 3560 grams or 3,5 kilos! 10 pounds would weigh 3,5 KILOS! And if you want to have a night on the town assuming you spend 100 pounds (since you are rich after all) we are looking at 35kilos! You need to drag around a bag weighing in at 35 kilos to buy something for £100 and that’s completely ignoring that you have to store a few metric tons of coins somewhere, so unless you go full on Scrooge Mcduck from Disney, you will probably drown in 2 pence coins or break your back dragging around a bag full of them. Teleportation any day of the week – yes they are occupied toilets but just say hello and be on your merry way… they would probably be too shocked to react anyway!
Would you rather be best friends with Iron Man or Batman?
72% said Iron Man. So let’s see you got a raging alcoholic with PTSD blowing things up that pose a real genuine threat to the earth or an rich man that likes to dress up and beat up poor people….. Yeah I’d say Iron Man too.
This one is fun because it got some moral ambiguity to it. 72% said supervillain which makes sense because we established in question 1 you guys are not above being a serial killer so robbing a bank with henchmen must be a normal Tuesday. But the fun part is that the way we as a society see morality it’s almost impossible to answer this question, look at Magneto in X-men: it’s a clear example where villain and hero is just a matter of perspective. I think it’s impossible to be either cause a good action for you might be bad for someone else and the other way around. I genuinely don’t have any opinion about this one.
Would you rather fight 20 duck sized Batmen or one Batman sized duck?
This was one of the closer ones with 61% saying they’d beat up a duck. Which actually makes sense since ducks aren’t dangerous. If you have ever seen Lord Of The Rings: Return of The King” they have huge elephant warships on the battlefields, the much much smaller humans STILL manage to take all of them down. Legolas almost does it alone! 20 duck sized Batman might be small but they will still pose a threat. Compared to the duck which will only be dinner for the week.
Question 12: Would you rather be a Jedi or join the Dark Side!
This was EXTREMLY close with Dark Side taking a small victory with 50,3% of the votes. To put that into perspective if that poll was a government election in some countries that would end in a re-vote. However once again we face the same issue as with the superhero or supervillain question: the way humans see morality would make it impossible to decide who truly is good and who is evil. The decision would have to be purely be based on things like if you want to shoot lighting or do mind tricks or have a red lightsaber or a green one.
86% said Rick and honestly, the 14% that said Morty PLEASE comment why!? I spend 20 min researching the advantages of being Morty over Rick and I found NOTHING. You can either be a super genius or a nervous teenager… WHY CHOOSE THE TEENAGER!? Please let me know.
Question 14: Would you rather fight off a zombie apocalypse or an alien invasion?
75% said zombie apocalypse and that means most of you will survive. Simply due to weather: humans experience hypothermia when the core temperature reaches roughly 35 degrees Celsius. Best way to survive the zombie apocalypse is really just to go somewhere cold! Get a boat and head to Iceland. Once winter arrives you are all good to go. Even in warm areas given enough time the zombies would just rot away. So you get a nice holiday to Iceland, and we solve over-population! As far as I’m concern the zombie apocalypse can just drop by anytime! I’ll be in Iceland chilling in a hot-spring with a mojito.
So there you have it! All the questions we always wondered finally solved! Well for the next two weeks before we start throwing things in the office again, yelling reasons why “Return of The King” is better than “Return of The Jedi”. But until then, thank you to everyone that answered at MCM and thank you to myself for filming the video and writing most of the questions.
Remember to stay awesome my friends and thanks for reading <3
At EMP, we work with lots of talented bloggers covering all genres from alternative fashionand Rock & Metalto Harry Potter, Disneyand superheroes. Now it would be selfish to keep these talents to ourselves and didn’t share them with our lovely readers so we’re going to start having guest bloggers featured on our blog!
Our first guest is a lover of all things Disney and is covering how she incorporates a little bit of Disney in her day to day life. Without further ado, lets kick off Zoe’s blog post!
I know I have been on a little break recently, due to university work and everything else crazy going on but I am back! (for the time being)
I thought that I would get back into blogging with a Disney related post, so this is going to be all about how I incorporate Disney into my every day life. So let’s get stuck in!
As you might know, Disney is a huge part of mine and my families life. From the parks, to movies, merchandise and memories, Disney is where we find happiness.
Recently, I have really been into Mystery bags and Funko POP!s. The first pick that I have to show you is this Disney Afternoons Mystery Box from Funko which I absolutely love! As you might know, I am a big Ducktales, TaleSpin, Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck fan so this was so perfect when I spotted it!
My patience did not last long enough and I had to open it straight away! To a really nice surprise, I had Gosalyn from Darkwing Duck and she is the cutest little thing!
The second item I have to show you is a glitter Funko Pop of one of my all time favourite Disney Princesses – Aurora! How gorgeous is this? I love to dot Funko Pops around my flat whether it’s on my shelf with my other collectibles and knick knacks or to add some fun to my mantelpiece!
When it comes to clothing, I have recently grown a new obsession with patches. That’s right. I managed to come across the most amazing clothing patch from Loungefly of Stitch! I absolutely love Stitch as I character and he definitely will bring some fun to my wardrobe. I ironed him onto one of my favourite white and navy striped tees and he is perfect! I have already had so many people asking me where my t-shirt is from, but patches are so much better because you can make sure that he’s on something you are really comfortable wearing! There’s lots more Lilo & Stitch tops and merch for you to check out too!
So let’s think outside of the home now, I travel back and forth to university for an hour at a time on the train. So when I have those pesky 6am wake up calls, this next item definitely comes in handy!
Loungefly have done it again. How absolutely gorgeous is this Tangled compact mirror?! I am always in a rush for my trains in the morning, no matter what! So this mirror is forever in my bag, especially if I have only have half of my make up done at the time!
How do you all like to incorporate Disney into your every day lives? I would love to know! And don’t worry, there will be a lot more Disney posts coming up very shortly!
